Driving: Effects and Overview
At the moment, the Driving skill does not provide any major benefits, so there is no need to rush leveling it. You can gain XP simply by driving while exploring, but the amount is very low, making it time-consuming to reach level 100. Most perks also offer only minor effects, so it may be better to wait for future updates.

Recommended PERKs for Driving
- No recommended perks.
- Adrenaline Junkie reduces stress based on speed, but the risk of accidents generally outweighs the benefit, making it of limited use.
- Other perks also have limited usefulness due to restrictive activation conditions.
- It may be worth taking Bank It in preparation for future updates.
How to Gain XP for Driving
- Driving Vehicles
- XP gained does not vary with speed.
- Passing Over a Vehicle Ramp at 40 km/h+
- Requires the Vehicle Ramp, a structure used for training the Driving skill.
- XP is gained when driving over the top of the ramp.
- The direction of travel does not matter.
- No XP is granted below approximately 40 km/h.
- Higher speeds grant more XP.
Recommended Ways to Level Driving
Easy Methods (Early Game)
- Driving Vehicles
- XP gain is relatively low at around 400 per minute.
- Reaching level 100 takes approximately 15 hours without XP boost items.
- This method can be semi-AFK by continuously driving in circles in a large open area, such as a farm.
Recommended Methods (Mid Game and Beyond)
- Using Multiple Vehicle Ramps
- Placing multiple ramps allows you to farm XP much more efficiently.
- Once set up, you can reach level 100 in under 30 minutes.
- See the example layout below for a recommended setup.

4-Ramp Setup
Place two ramps side by side, then mirror them to create a set of four.
This setup allows you to gain XP from all four ramps at once when passing near their center, granting over 500 XP per pass.
Linear Setup
Place multiple rows of ramps so that they connect in a straight line, with two ramps side by side in each row. This setup provides the highest XP gain.
However, it requires significant effort to build, so it’s not always necessary.
The example shown uses four rows. With fewer than three rows, acceleration is insufficient and efficiency drops significantly.
Even with four rows, you can gain over 10,000 XP per minute.

Using Terrain Elevation
This setup uses uneven terrain with elevation differences.
You can gain XP by passing near the top of the ramps from the side.
Since the XP trigger area is narrow, this method can be difficult to execute. It becomes effective if you find suitable terrain.
At the location shown (near the prison), only smaller vehicles such as bikes can be used.
