Ore Factory Squad · GUIDE
Money Guide · Best Crafts
This Money-making guide explains what you should craft and sell in Ore Factory Squad. It is based on checking every item's base price and every recipe, then calculating the gain from Processing: sale price minus the combined base price of the materials.
One important mechanic is that an item's market price drops when you sell it. Mass-producing only the most profitable item therefore does not earn as much as you might expect.
The best general strategy is simple: prioritize items required by Contracts, use spare materials to produce high-margin items, and sell in bulk when a strong stock-sale offer appears. Use the data in this guide to choose the main products in that broader mix.
All comparisons use the base prices shown when hovering over items in the in-game list. This is not a comprehensive survey of actual Contract rewards or stock-sale prices, which fluctuate daily. However, several spot-checked stock-sale ranges and Contract multipliers are included as reference samples.
Best Crafts by Factory Level
The most efficient items at each Factory Level are listed below. Specializing in only one item becomes inefficient as its market price falls, so keep completing Contracts while producing somewhat larger quantities of these recommendations.
| Factory Level | Machine | Recommended Craft | Gain | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | Forming Press | Form Glass | +18 | +129% |
| 5 | Fabrication Station | Steel Bars / Iron Nails / Copper Wire | +86 / +24 / +30 | +99% / +160% / +100% |
| 6 | Refinery | Gold-Plated Toilet | +31 | +24% |
| 8 | Precision Workshop | Diamond Cutting Wheel / Titanium Tube / Steel Safe | +90 / +52 / +47 | +25% / +25% / +44% |
The missing Level ranges—the Early-game Stone Crusher and the Smelting Furnace at Factory Level 4—do not have any especially profitable recipes. Focus on preparing raw and intermediate materials for higher-tier crafts instead, as explained later.
Top 3 by Rate
These crafts provide the greatest gain relative to material cost. Their materials are inexpensive, making them strong Early- to Mid-game products.
| Rank | Item | Materials | Gain | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Iron Nails (39) | Iron Ingot×1 (15) | +24 | +160% |
| 2 | Form Glass (32) | Sand×2 (14) | +18 | +129% |
| 3 | Copper Wire (60) | Copper Ingot×2 (30) | +30 | +100% |
Top 5 by Gain
These crafts provide the greatest profit per item and become major Late-game products.
| Rank | Item | Materials | Gain | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Diamond Cutting Wheel (450) | Industrial Diamond×2 + Steel Plate×2 | +90 | +25% |
| 2 | Steel Bars (173) | Steel Ingot×2 + Iron Ingot×1 | +86 | +99% |
| 3 | Titanium Tube (260) | Titanium Ingot×4 | +52 | +25% |
| 4 | Steel Safe (155) | Steel Ingot×2 + Silver Ingot×1 | +47 | +44% |
| 5 | Steel Beam (180) / Diamond Drill Bit (178) | Steel Ingot×4 / Industrial Diamond×1 + Titanium Ingot×1 | +36 | +25% / +25% |
Core Money-making Rules
- Use Contracts as your main income source and stock sales only for surplus. Contracts provide plenty of XP and are required for progression. Their rewards were also about 1.02–1.37× the combined base price in five samples
- Stock-sale prices fluctuate and fall when you sell. Offers from multiple companies can be above or below the base price and refresh on later days. Selling to one company also lowers other companies' offers, and the reduced price range persists for at least several days. Mass-selling one product therefore loses momentum, while rotating through many products is more profitable overall
- Ignore low offers. Even if you have surplus stock, selling cheaply can cost more by depressing the market for several days
Spot-checked Samples
The mechanics make it impractical to survey every actual Contract and stock-sale price, but the following values were recorded through spot checks. Treat these small samples only as a rough guide. Both tables include the multiplier relative to base price for easier comparison.
Observed stock-sale offers varied widely from 0.57× to 1.32× the base price. Some products, such as Silver Bearing, received offer ranges above their base price, but downward swings were also common.
| Item | Base Price | Observed Stock-Sale Range | vs Base |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clay Brick | 14 | 8 | ×0.57 |
| Cement | 19 | 15–23 | ×0.79–1.21 |
| Bimetal Plate | 42 | 41–53 → 48–51 | ×0.98–1.26 |
| Iron Rod | 60 | 51–68 | ×0.85–1.13 |
| Steel Bars | 173 | 148–158 | ×0.86–0.91 |
| Diamond Drill Bit | 178 | 145–225 → 195–215 | ×0.81–1.26 |
| Diamond Cutting Wheel | 450 | 377–473 | ×0.84–1.05 |
| Silver Bearing | 109 | 122–144 | ×1.12–1.32 |
Across five observed Contracts, rewards were 1.02–1.37× the combined base price, and every reward was at least as high as the base total. Unlike stock sales, Contracts did not dip below base price in these samples, making them the more reliable main sales channel. The multiplier varied between Contracts and did not correspond to XP, so the underlying formula is unknown.
| Contract | Reward | Base Total | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clay Brick×20 + Cement×15 | 576 | 565 | approx. 1.02 |
| Diamond Drill Bit×10 + Diamond Cutting Wheel×5 | 5520 → 5340 (next-day refresh) | 4030 | approx. 1.37 → 1.33 |
| Diamond Cutting Wheel×5 + Steel Plate×15 | 4440 | 3600 | approx. 1.23 |
| Diamond Drill Bit×8 + Steel Bars×12 | 4640 | 3500 | approx. 1.33 |
| Diamond Cutting Wheel×5 + Steel Plate×10 | 4080 | 3150 | approx. 1.30 |
Unprofitable Crafts and Other Warnings
- Concrete Brick (-2): Loses value when processed. Make it only when required by a Contract
- Block items (±0): Provide no profit. Produce only the quantity needed as intermediate materials
- Titanium Ingot (+2): Poor value by itself. Treat it as a material for Titanium Tube
- Compare recipes that use the same materials: With Copper Ingot×2, Copper Wire (+30) is better than Copper Plate (+9). When using Steel Ingot, Steel Bars (+86) is better than Steel Plate (+18)
- Mining warning: Dynamite reduces the amount of ore recovered. Avoid frequent use if material efficiency matters
Where to Find All Item Data
This guide highlights the key results. The separate data page lists every item's base price, materials, gain, and unlock Level, with sorting and machine filters. Use the cards at the top or bottom of this page to open it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is the Most Profitable Item?
By gain per item, Diamond Cutting Wheel (+90) and Steel Bars (+86) are the best. In the Early game at Factory Levels 2–4, Form Glass (+18, +129%) is the strongest choice. A dedicated single-product line will still lose effectiveness as the market price falls, so use these as leading products within a varied lineup.
Are Contracts or Stock Sales Better?
Contracts are generally better. In the five observed samples, rewards were about 1.02–1.37× the combined base price. Sell Contract leftovers through stock sales and ignore low offers.
Why Did the Price Suddenly Drop After I Sold?
That is an intended mechanic. Selling to one company also lowers other companies' offers, and the reduced range persists for several days. Avoid overselling a single product and rotate through a broad lineup.
