Combat Bags Explained

What Is a Combat Bag?

A Combat Bag is a preset bundle of gear and consumables. Equip one before a run to replace your current loadout with the entire preset.

You cannot edit the preset before entering a match: no adding extra healing items or swapping individual pieces. After you successfully extract, the loadout becomes yours and can be edited.

Items from a Combat Bag cannot be listed on the Auction House (chain icon). They can be sold at the Shop.

How to Get Them

You mainly get Combat Bags as rewards from Scavenger Squad dispatches through Twig.

Types

Combat Bags come in four rarities. The listed value is the total value of the included gear. You normally get a full set at the bag's rarity.

NameRarityTotal gear value
Novice Combat Bag Common 300
Advanced Combat Bag Uncommon 800
Pro Combat Bag Rare 2500
Elite Combat Bag Epic 6000

Exception: in the Novice Combat Bag (Common), only the weapon and chest armor are Uncommon.

Combat Bag gear cannot be listed on the Auction House (chain icon), but it can be sold at the Shop. The values above are the total gear values, not purchase prices.

How to Equip

1. At Camp, press TAB and open Combat Bag in the top-left corner

2. Pick the bag you want

3. Choose a Loadout

4. Press Equip (bottom left)

Each bag shows 3 Loadout options. Pick one and press Equip. If none fit, spend Gyldenblod to reroll.

Loadouts mainly change weapons (dual-weapon classes only), Affixes, and Tactical Items.

After picking a Loadout, the skill and talent screens show recommendations for that loadout, which is useful for beginners.

What Loadouts Change

Weapons

This only matters for classes with two weapon stances.

For example, the Withered Knight can switch between a Greatsword and Polearm & Shield. In a Combat Bag loadout, one weapon matches the bag's rarity while the other is the lowest rarity.

Affixes

Bonus effects on gear and gems. The available effects vary by type.

Tactical Items

Consumables that disguise you as an object, as well as throwables that apply debuffs.
