Class Choice & Early Game
Choosing a Class
How to Play (Game Loop)
The basic loop is explore → extract → sell / upgrade → go out again.
Gear and Camp facility upgrades are paid for with Gyldenblod. So in broad strokes, focusing on Gyldenblod farming is enough.
Finding Items in a Match
Once you deploy, you gather items in three main ways.
1. Defeat enemies — collect their drops
2. Loot placed objects — chests and other map props
3. In-match quests — accept and complete them, then collect the rewards (shown as blue "!" markers on the map)
Main target icons on the map:
How to Extract
To keep what you gathered, you must extract with a valid method. The usual full-loot path is Returning Chime → Hallowgrove Woodling. Smuggler Woodling is faster but only lets you bring limited items. Maps and modes can add other extraction options.
Making Gyldenblod
Sell extracted items at the Shop or Auction House. What to prioritize, when to use the Auction House, and the Soulcatch Tree are covered in the gold guide.
Talent Points
Talents are passive effects bought with Talent Points from leveling.
You do not get a point every level. Grant timing is below. At level 12 (cap) you have 8 points total.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Character level cap | 12 |
| Talent Point cap | 8 |
| Grant timing (1 pt each) | Lv 2 / 3 / 5 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 11 / 12 |
| No grant | Lv 4 / 7 / 10 |
